ELEPHANT

Elephants are the largest land animals on Earth, known for their incredible intelligence, strong family bonds, and remarkable memory. These gentle giants can weigh up to 7,000 kg and stand 4 meters tall at the shoulder.

Their most distinctive feature is their long trunk, which contains over 40,000 muscles and serves many purposes - breathing, drinking, grabbing objects, and even showing affection. Both male and female African elephants have tusks, which are actually elongated incisor teeth.

Elephants are herbivores, spending up to 16 hours a day eating grasses, leaves, bark, and fruits. They communicate through low-frequency rumbles that can travel several kilometers, allowing them to stay in touch with family members across vast distances.

📍 WHERE WILL YOU FIND THEM

You will find the elephants at pen E22, right next to the amphitheatre. Daily feeding demonstrations at 10:30am and 3:00pm.
